岗位职责
- Establish departmental expertise in specific raw material and non-raw material categories purchased in China through understanding the business and technical requirements, supply base, global market trends and underlying factors that drive product quality, cost, supply continuity and reliability.
- Develop and implement effective and innovative sourcing strategies by product category and supplier in order to optimize purchasing leverage and insure optimal quality and timely delivery at the total lowest cost in coordination with the Group’s global purchasing strategy. Capitalize on changing market dynamics through the overall global supply/demand balance, feedstock cost trends, supplier capabilities, trends in technology and relevant market indices.
- Negotiate prices, terms and purchase conditions that optimize quality, price and delivery.
- Provide oversight of all purchases to insure compliance with the Company’s Purchase Authorization and Approval Policy.
- Provide continuous staff development opportunities to ensure they possess sufficient training and required skill levels to perform their tasks in a proficient manner; ensure proficiency is maintained in current technologies. Promote and support on-going teamwork within the department and with the Company’s global purchasing team.
- Plan for future operations of the department with emphasis on efficiency and effectiveness in meeting stakeholder needs and implementing tactical best practices.
- Develop savings implementation plans.
- Monitor supplier KPI’s and continued viability. Participate in Supplier Quality assessments. Work closely with China’s Quality Manager in these efforts.
- Promote and maintain the reputation of the Group by conducting business in an ethical and professional manner to ensure avoidance of all actual and potential conflicts of interest.
